The College at Brockport, State University of New York is seeking applicants for anticipated part-time supervisory openings in the department of Counselor Education.

Position Description

The Adjunct Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of student counselor candidates in the field. This position will assist onsite in a School Counseling (K-12) or in a Mental Health Counseling practicum partnership training program between the Counselor Education Department (EDC) and the school district OR mental health agency. This position helps with the live observations of the EDC students as they provide counseling services to students/clients 1:1 and in small group counseling, as well as deliver psychoeducational lessons to students/clients in classroom or agency settings.

Required Qualifications
  • The Adjunct Supervisor in a School Setting must have a Master's Degree in School Counseling by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.
  • The Adjunct Supervisor in a School Setting must be certified as a School Counselor in New York State.
  • The Adjunct Supervisor in a Mental Health Setting must have a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling by time of appointment from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized college or university.
  • The Adjunct Supervisor in a Mental Health Setting must be licensed as a Mental Health Counselor in New York State.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Adjunct Supervisor has earned their counseling degree from a CACREP accredited program.

Salary and Benefits

$2500 per 3 credit hour course. Health insurance is available to part-time faculty who teach six or more credits, contact hours, or credit equivalents per semester.
